Perfect music to play when getting ready to go out for an evening of drinking. That voice, those lyrics, the after midnight sound - it felt like something that had been coded into my DNA. In the 90s, amid all the other genres of music I was listening to - metal, industrial, alternative (whatever that means now), electronica, goth, Morphine was the one band that really felt like 'my music.' There's nothing else like them.
